Young voters may hold key to race

Young voters key
Signature Tune

Oct 27 - Both political parties are making a strong pitch this year for young voters-- in recognition of how large and how vocal this demographic group is.

For Barack Obama, youth voters have been a reliable demographic group at rallies and in terms of getting out the vote on college campuses. The big question now is whether all of these young voters will actually come out and vote on election day.

Jon Decker reports.

In a word: knot. Their passions keep them paralyzed as demonstrated by history.

Nevar, congratulations on the 9, I just run the tape.

Aren't you a tetch cold and somewhat overexposed for a sweet young girl, but then it may be a case of she "ain't so sweet"

Somehow you sound quite knowledgeable for a sweet young thing. I guess you come from a hot climate.

The countdown is about to begin and there is still 7 days to go before the US general election...

I think the young voters have less concern about the election than the senior citizen and I doubt they will come out to vote in the election day.

Hey Katyzzz everyone should vote, and it is their right to do so, but this election, I hope the kiddies stay home, because they will vote Obama, and they just don't know enough about him to make that much of an important decision just because they think he is cool.

People should vote polices, not whether a person is cool or not.

Katyzzz struck a collective nerve with the young and the breathless comment; wow.

Wilson, many of the young will vote, those who feel passionate, from both camps.

The US elections are a phenomenon, year long campaigns, glad I am not involved.

Lester, policies and character are the keys and the ability to implement them, and the young are always at risk of voting for what's cool, but that's the way the world is and we have to learn to live with it.

The young invariably think their parents are wrong, and thereby hangs a tale.

It'll all be over soon. And then what, the mess is not going to disappear over night whoever comes into power.

I admire your dedication to the cause.

Obama has been campaigning for 21 months and being paid by tax payers to do so (he's a part time Senator and a full time candidate); this can only happen in a socialist's world.

Nevar, you look like a socialist to me, I do have a problem with that.

Ever thought about changing you tag, although I love this one, but, somehow, it doesn't seem to fit, the irony of life, no doubt.

Actually, I'm a budgetarian.
