Recently one of my fellow Orblers drew attention to the fact that it was the anniversary of Vincent Van Gogh's cutting off of his ear.

To mark this historic occasion I am providing links to some of his better known works as well as including some which have special appeal/interest to me.

I feel sure that those of you who are interested in seeing more will find sufficient information here for you to be able to follow up on it.

We studied Humanities back in college and one thing that really stayed with me is Van Gogh's Starry Night painting. Why is it that the more gifted the artist, the more troubled they are? Happy holidays katyzzz!!!!

Hope,

I don't think that's always true but, for some, it certainly appears to be, - the hidden recesses of the mind?

Happy holidays to you, too.

Lilla and Adrienne,

Thanks for the butter flutter and the brilliant red heart, the heart turns me on, the green calms me down.

Just as well,

Lilla,

I hear the flutter of tiny wings,
I see their tiny hoverings,
"tis my delight when you drop by,
casting votes upon a changing sky.

Keep up that harmonious butterfly flutter,
as you flitter along your environmental
clutter, left by man upon this earth,
making your life no longer ordinary.
