World Art - Matisse- Master of Colour
December 24th 2006 04:32
Henri Matisse [1869-1954] was a French Artist - sculptor and painter - who departed from the school of thought of his time to engage in experimentation.
He became known for his colour and unusual form and was regarded as a rebellious artist by his contemporaries.
The links provide a selection of his works which feature his more usual paintings as well as the vibrantly refreshing ones, for which he became known as the Master of Colour.
I hope you find this small exhibition both stimulating and interesting.
The images are for you.

Happy to be of service as an interior decorator. I work for cents per hour, apparently.
