World Art - Russia and my Art, too

In order to capture some world art and hopefully provide you with some good google ads to click onto which will provide some very special images I am featuring a selection of modern Russian Artists and producing my usual range of images.

My emphasis is on the softer pastels this time as I know there are those who prefer these to the more brilliant hues. Even the puzzler will be in soft colours.

Also here is the link to the Russian artist, I think you'll enjoy it and hopefully there will be some
more provided by Google from around the world.

How do you do these things? Is it special software combined with talent? (or is it a trade secret?) I love them!

Your latest art, since getting your new paint program, has been very dynamic. It's almost difficult to see things in them. I feel like they keep shifting.

The Russian art was quite interesting. When I think of Russian art, I usually think old paintings, icons, and the like. Pre-20th century, certainly. I don't think I've seen modern Russian art before now.

Cathy,

I have explained how I do them to Ashish just a couple of posts ago, basically it is just a matter of experimental play and a certain creativity.

It requires, patience and perserverance until one gets an idea where one can go with the computer tools available.

Anyone can start and I encourage them to do so as a new activity for the brain with MS Paint and Now I hve moved on just a little with Paint.NET, both available for free download but you should have MS Paint under accessories in you MS programs.

I taught myself but I have put on sets of instructions from time to time.

Adele,

These things do lead on to other interests, don't they!

Yes, I agree with what you say about the new program, it has some interesting features but what I can do with those is limited.

Colours are much better provided for, but there are features of the older program that are lost in the new.

I've almost gone as far as I can go with the new features, after a while they become a little repetitious.

I still need to think up an underlying scheme. I'm pleased you are enjoying them, that's what it is all about really, plus opening up extra dimensions for the mind.

Very nice Russian modern art . I'm more interested for Russian classic art , but you find good "pieces".

Hi Katyzzz,

We both commented on a parenting post yesterday and when I saw MS Paint under your icon, I clicked over to your blog. There's some great stuff I love mucking around on MS Paint, but my drawings are cartoons and graphics (which you can see in my icon and on my blog).

How do you feel about Paint. Net? What're the advantages over MS Paint?

Kate, the colours are more reliably variable and produce a more 'real' effect.

There are some extra features but, at the same time some of the facilities with MS are useful for certain effects which the NET doesn't allow.

After my experimental play with NET I'll probably swing between the two.

Thanks for your kind words and visit, I'll keep my eyes on your posts.

Katyzzz,

I'm really enjoying your move into pastels. Your Signature Tune reminds me of Matisse.

the signature tune makes me think of Picasso or Braque, if they were working in the computer age.

First of all, for some reason I like these more than any others I've seen on your blog. What does that say about me? lol, am I a bad person?

Secondly, and a little off topic, I just wanted to apologize for the way my "pet peeve" post came across (you'll also find I was a tad feisty with my reply to your comment). I honestly didn't mean for it to be taken the way you took it. I'm looking at things from a technical standpoint, not a personal view. I write generally for people who look at things from a technical aspect when it comes to my tech blogs.

I hope we can agree that you and I are two very different people and move on. You can't expect me to be like you, nor can I expect you to be like me.

Life is still good though and it must go on.

Still looking great. It reminds me of the Groove Is In The Heart song background. I love Russian Art, especially This Picture...

Social realism was also quite interesting. Wiki it if you want.

Nice work as usual,
Kylar

Eric,

You're certainly not a bad person.

It's nice to have your visit.

Differences of opinion are healthy.

Katyzzz,

I think these are my favourites so far. I love pastel! From a fashion point of view, I love the 60's pucci prints. Your artwork makes me want to shop.

You're really very very good at these.

Ooooo....

Lollipop swirl - Makes me feel hungry...

Very rainbow flavour you've got there this time katyzzz... But like Adele said, a little confusing sometimes... guess my brain just want to be relaxed today after a hard week of non-stop logic breaking.
