Whole Brain teaching method

whole brain teaching education children

Hundreds of teachers take part in a seminar to change the way students learn. More than 250 teachers take part in the whole brain teaching seminar which gets students involved in the learning experience.

Whole brain teaching is a program showing teachers how students can get more from class by using rules, and other procedure tools. Teachers came from five different states. Not only did they learn about having rules but how to teach kids to make smart choices. One principal says teachers who use these strategies have made deeper connections with students.

"With student conversation, students are learning the information deeper. And they are retaining the information more, so I'm seeing our students retain the information they are being taught in whole brain teaching." said Nila Vance the Vice Principal of Emerson Elementary

Vance says teachers are now competing with videos and other entertainment and now have to make learning fun for kids.
