Why do people read blogs?

what blog readers want
Signature Tune

Apparently, there are certain themes that will attract readers.

The eco blog is fast rising as a means of becoming part of the world that is concerned with environmental matters.

Luxury Travel Magazine readers can check the daily Luxury Travel Blog for up-to-the-minute announcements of special offers on luxury travel, this is rather surprising to me, upstream going downstream so to speak and a complete contrast to the concepts of the eco blog.

Spirituality and Photography seem to be a blend, How? along with hobby themes such as craft and collecting things.

Engaging content will attract readers, but what does 'engaging content' mean?

Regular posts and a pretty blog attract people.

A blog is for information not for sales, that's what a website is for.

Understand your readers and visits the sites of those who comment on your blogs.

These are all recommendations for attracting readers.

Blogs are not accountable to other people and that's one reason they attract readers.

Considerations of war without institutional interests and not following military doctrines is another theme and advantage that blog readers want.

I guess there are a lot of other considerations, but that's all for this time around.

interesting question you pose there.

from my ventures into the blog universe just love and borderline obsessive pathos of your subject matter is enough to eventually attract people to your blog.

i've never ventured outside of my blog subject matter and nor would i want to. it is cathartic to write about something relatively inane such as basketball because there is so much gravity in the wider world already, including mine.

the net is a great bringer of like minded people together and there will be many who share your obsessions.

i am quite fortunate that my passion is rather mainstream.

Oh, Stanley,

You words were sublime. Your wisdom unquestionable. But I am so sorry to hear about the gravity in your own world. It need not be like that.

Mainstream is certainly as essential issue, but I think the world's escapism in the long run is just going to make matters worse.

I want the world to improve and be well equipped to do it.

But your wise and kind words have not gone unheeded, but I just wish that I could remove some of the gravity you experience.

thanks for the sympathy but it isn't actually all bad as i have made it out to be hahaha. i mean i am studying law and in the past few weeks for uni have had to make numerous court visits to the local, district and supreme courts and viewing some of the more darker aspects of human behaviour has put me in a more contemplative mood.

i am also unfortunate to be a trained journo too so there is also a lack of humour there.

the flipside is that people in those 2 industries have a fantastic sense of humour and wit about them, but it tends to be on the darker spectrum of the comedic gauge.

thanks for your kind words though.

Mrs. M.

Nice to see you.

What you say is true, but why blogs specifically? Just a rhetorical question? as you also write them, I was thinking more of those who just read them and what they like best about the blogs they read, some useful tips in other words.

Love and stuff, which you taught me, and when I remember I use it.

Hi katyzzz,

I like to read different points of view I suppose. And blogs certainly cover all points of view. Reading magazines, newspapers or watching television is informative but they do have an "agenda" or a point of view that they stick to.

There is no such agenda when it comes to blogging.

Love & stuff
