Geez Lady, ya got me.This is a button pusher for me!
Sadly, culture and history aside, it's another form of controlling woman as property; virtual slaves in a male dominated society. With the torturous procedure, I am sure that the woman's libido drops along with her self esteem.
Men don't have to worry about loosing a deliberately damaged property that has lost the basic human urge to procreate, to enjoy their sexuality or to celebrate their uniqueness.
I get rabid over this topic and will probably post a blog(s) concerning this topic later.

And here, all we seem to worry about is what they do to sheep without a tiny degree of what they do to women, starting with young girls, without anaesthetic, of course.
Congratulations on being a man taking such an interest.
Education (of the males) in these instances has such a long way to go.
And the analogy with animals is not sustainable, animal behaviour is better.
Thank you so much for your concerned response.
This has to be as important as WAR, if not more important.
