More on Mr. Bean's Madness
April 1st 2007 03:05
Love him or hate him, everyone has their opinion on Mr. Bean.
He is funny but the funniness for me lasts only the once except for the occasional experiences of watching bits and pieces of the previous shows.
I guess it depends if you're watching with some like minded company.
I guess, too, we can all relate to Mr. Bean's social blunders which we make from time to time and watching his makes ours seem very mild.
I've found someone who thinks ".... Rowan Atkinson’s silent slapstick on the 1990s TV series was a stroke of genius - "
But, apparently there are certain reservations in expressing those views.
Bean is exemplified by innocence and optimism, as he continues on his hapless way and Mr. Bean's holiday for some is a lot of fun.
But there is one who considers that Bean's gags miss their targets as often as they hit.
A full account of those views appears on this link
I hope just a few of you can relate to Bean and his stumbling, bumbling body distortions and facial contortions as he slapsticks his way through his hapless ventures.
What's your opinion of Bean?
