Jul 20 - Lightsabers are in plentiful supply as Japan celebrates the 30th anniversary of Star Wars.
Star Wars fans and cast-members from the movie gather in Chiba to mark 30 years since the film first opened in Japan. The movie opened in the United States in 1977 and one year later in Japan.
At the three-day extravaganza starting from Saturday (July 19), fans dressed up as their favourite characters and were treated to exclusive scenes from the upcoming CG-animated "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", which will be released on Aug. 23 in Japan.
