Shifting Shapes
June 6th 2008 09:34
At first you'll see a square, a circle, contained in a rectangle, notice how harmonious it looks, it is aesthetically pleasing in shape and form.
Now notice how the different colours break those shapes up. In the breaking up, we have new forms, new harmonies, new juxtapositions, new effects, new feelings.
Within the ball there's yin and yang, no wonder we feel such harmony, to the right there's an orange breasted bird with a swan like neck, still very harmonious.
This leads up to its beak which is aqua.
The ball is held, cradled in an orange cup, another red bird with beak looks in from the top right corner, and one pokes his green nose in from the left hand corner, but there are knees there and shoulders and background and all contained in the square, the circle and the rectangle, see what just a few lines and some different colours can do.
This is a tranquil, restful image, showing little if any disharmony.
We are simply just not allowed to look and enjoy it, other things take over.
