Do you want to promote your book on line?

I found a really nice article this morning on book publishing for e-books and self published novels promotion on the web.

I'll put the link on up the top there for those who want to read further, but the main comments and pointers seemed to fall under the umbrella of the following:

1. Develop a Website or Blog.

2. Online Marketing (PPC)

3. Specific Jump Page/Testimonials(audio and written)

4. Samples

5. Email marketing

6. Refer a friend

7. Affiliate program

and this comes to you from Engine Optimization Specialist with more than 12 years of Internet marketing experience.

But for full explanations you will need to go to the link and in my experience reading about many things gives you ideas and hints for many others and that does expand the mind even if only a little, tiny pixels build on line.

Do let me know if you find this useful, I know we have many budding authors here on Orble.

Actually, Louie, it's the old katyzzz coming up for a bit of recycling. I'm sure you'd approve of that.

I love the colours in the second and it's really much harder to do.

Not about to get on the e-book waggon I see, not still travelling Cobb and Co, are we?

Lovely to see you as always.

I'd be curious to find out how many people have had their books published by starting off as a blog writer. Do you know, Katyzzz? I used to want to be an author when I was an early teen but I'm too lazy and there's too much hard work with getting stuff published.

I understand what you are saying, but barring a certain set of circumstances like Harry Potter it's rare for things to get off the ground, simply because they exist.

I thought this was an excellent article.

I've heard of people submitting to publishers 200 times before they got accepted, and I know of one (not personally) who has written more than half a dozen e books, there's virtually no costs involved.

That was a very savvy article I linked, written by a very savvy person in this area. I'd try it ahead of self publishing and one could always sell it on ebay I guess.

Hope that this is at least a little helpful.

Techno,

What a cheeky chap you are. If you'd like a book, join a Library.

Mis, I guess you realize what the dreary production bit is, rather than the I've written a book, don't rush me, desire.

Congrats, katyzzz, ...glad you found this useful.
