Novyy Urengoy, Russia, 1988

Stolid apartment buildings rise from the snow-covered permafrost in Novyy Urengoy, Russia. The buildings house workers at what was once the world's highest-producing natural gas field. After more than 30 years of operation, it's still one of the largest.

Wow! What a beautiful shot from Russia, but coollldddd!
They have some absoluetly breathtakingly beautiful scenery over there, problem is, it snows about 10 months out of the year! I know this because I've been there twice, once in winter, and once in Spring...both times it snowed like hell all the time we were there!
*Snicker*
Maybe that's why they have so many children!
LOL
Great post and loved the "tune" today, chilley yet enticing!...
Take care,
Nick
