Signature tune
The Russian Museum include works which it acquired from several sources such as the Hermitage, the Academy of Arts, private collections and former palaces. The closure of the Museum of Art Culture meant it acquired an avant-garde range. It continued to supplement its range by receiving gifts as well as by acquisitions.
It has many of the old masters and it is their art to which I provide links in this post.
Its collections were made on academic principles so there was little innovation allowed.

I am a great admirer of the Russian psyche, it gives you extraordinary strength and great intelligence. I really admired these paintings.
