Mythical ship sets sail
June 15th 2008 07:09
Jun. 14 - Greeks set sail in remade ship of Jason and the Argonauts.
The volunteers from across Greece and Europe set out from the Greek town of Volos to relive the experience of the famous ancient Greek legend of Jason and the Argonauts on their quest to find a golden fleece.
The rowers, all amateurs, include teachers, students, even pensioners.
Most are from Volos, where the legend was born, including three women, while two are from Georgia and Holland.
Deborah Kyvrikosaios reports.
