Jun. 3 - A restaurant in Taiwan offers customers a chance to get up close and personal with traditional hand puppets, while enjoying local cuisine.

Taipei's See-Join Puppet Troupe offers a unique dining experience featuring traditional puppet shows, also known as Budaixi, that are performed on a colourful stage set up in front of rows of wooden tables and chairs.


Taiwan's love for puppets originally came from China's nearby Fujian province. Taiwan has since developed the craft with parades in cities all over the island and regular shows for local puppeteers.

I just love dinner, but they may do well in the coffee shop for you, if you've enough people up there to come to enjoy it with money in their pocket after they've paid their energy bill.

Good to know every country has its clowns and galahs, not just us.
