Well, believe it or believe it not, it's strength training and even quite elderly patients are being encouraged to 'pump iron' to use anaerobic exercise (or strengthening exercises) to actually increase the number of cells and connections that are in the brain.


Alzheimer's patients who are physically fit have more brain volume than those who are not fit.

Physically fit people seem to have a edge when it comes to memory.
