This really is very important, so all connected with pregnant women should pass the information on.

Interesting info Katyzzz

I was always under the impression seafood was a no-no during pregnancy. You would think it would be cautioned because it is so easy to sick from.

Kat, I agree with Ash. I was under that same impression. Maybe not fish but prawns, oysters, scallops....

I think they are talking about oily fish here and only once a week.

Ideas change so much, it must be a worry for young women.

I'm not a big fish-eater, but I got my dosage from canned tuna during my pregnancy. I eat Greenseas because apparently there is no traceable mercury in that brand. Fish is great and definitely something every pregnant woman should consume, but the presence of mercury is a REAL worry!

Fish-fish-fish! What's all this talk about fish? *L*

All this flip-flopping on medical advice, drives people crazy. Remember when we were supposed to drink a quart of milk every day? Then we weren't supposed to eat eggs and now they say we can???? Sometimes I wonder about advocacy groups!!!!!! I think it's pretty bad to cause this much confusion with something as important as pregnancy!!!

So, I guess the thing to think of is the presence of mercury...non-mercury fish is OK?

I know that new research is found all the time and that can be helpful, but sometimes it's just confusing,

When I was pregnant I was so sick. I can not fathom eating food much less fish. Yikes! Bleech!
