Dec. 19 - Britain's pet lovers are still spending on their furry friends despite the recession.
It seems that nothing will get in the way of people pampering their pets. Even in a weakening economy many Brits still want to spend money on them. According to market research group Mintel, many owners have a strong emotional tie to their pets which has helped maintain strong sales.
The accessories market in the UK is worth around 414 million U.S.
