Apr. 19 - Pope Benedict urged the U.S. Catholic church to seek purification and healing in the aftermath of the priest sex abuse scandal.

Benedict told a congregation filled with priests, nuns, and other church officials at New York's historic St. Patrick's Catherdral to work together to restore the Catholic Church.

They've really worked hard at sorting out those problems, there has been a big turnaround, I get really annoyed when protesters link abstinence and celibacy to the problem, the two are not related and certainly one is not justification for the other. Some people are fools, it more or less says that people who don't have sex (for whatever reason) are destined to be pedophiles, rubbish, if they want a voice they should stick to facts not just their own idea of things.
