Amazing isn't it that photography (art) pieces can sell for so much$$. One of my fave is Albert Watson.

It doesn't amaze me Lara, you can spend hours, days, years trying to achieve such images, in no way is it just point and shoot, I don't think people realize that.

It's good to have your point of view.

Kat, I checked out his homepage (the link wasn't working for me unfortunately) and have to say my favourites are the Spain photos. I agree with you that photography isn't just point and shoot but I know a few people who seem to have a natural knack for it. I've been looking through the flickr gallery and am convinced that some photos have been photoshopped - they're that good.

Aimz, I'm sorry the link did not work for you, I hope you got the BBC video, the link is working.

I agree with some people being naturals also agree about the photoshop bit.

In this digital era anything is possible. You really missed something if the BBC video didn't come up for you.

The talking is interesting. Filters and techniques can make a difference too. I guess if anyone has financial gains in mind, they'll find they have a lot of work to do.

Do hope you can get the BBC, not just the artist's own site.

I'm out of my element here, most of the photos I've viewed were attached to center folds and National Geographics. Actually, having tried my hand at photography on many occasions, it requires tremendous focus and dedication; in light of that knowledge, photos should be priceless katyzzz. BTW, the piece adorning this post is great. Raven
