Dominant Male hype to give the female brain a boost? - Oh, dear!

Girls and boys come out to play. It seems this may be able to do something for your brain.

"And you can see that the females that were exposed to the dominant male pheremones show a much greater increase in the number of these new cells."
Pheremones are an odourless sex hormone.
The theory is that by building the memory portion of a female mouse's mind, she will remember the stronger, more aggressive male and pursue them when given the chance.
"There's a barrier, but she's clearly trying to get over to the dominant male, because she has a preference for the dominant male," Weiss said.
The study helps explain why females in the wild are able to pick out the strongest partner, something important to a species' survival.
However, if pheremones can build brain cells, can that be adapted to helping humans heal.
For one thing, the pheromone receptors in the brains of both mice and humans work about the same.
It's all a bit of a worry this, isn't it girls and, of course, the men will like it, don't you think?
