What do you know about youTubes
Signature tune

As the future of youTubes looks exceptionally bright I wondered how many already know about youTubes and how to use them?

Any comment, at all, would be helpful.

I don't think my internet experience would be the same without youtube!

Cib,

You're obviously an experienced user, do you put any on your posts?

Thanks for the reply, it was very interesting, I wonder if there are others who know nothing or nothing much, like me perhaps, but I've learned how to use it and have a 'music' one on my Pink post.

It really is a great development.

Ok Katyzz thx . Well ummm...talking about youtube the first thing that comes to my mind is that the two guys who started it is set for the rest of their lives and may be for the next five lives or more (if you believe in re incarnation and if you believe that everytime they are reincarnated the money gets transferred to the next life) since they got the google Jackpot within one year of starting youtube. I mean 1.65 billion dollars within a year? Wow! Now how much more can you get from a venture you started just a year back? You tube has 75 million individual visitors each day.
But as you know after google purchased youtube a Japanese entertainment group filed copyright complaints and they deleted more than 30,000 videos. And it is speculated that since a big corporate giant like Google owns youtube more and more people will try to file copyright infringement cases with their eye on the Google money. But Google is smart and that could mean that they would be excercising strict control and thus more and more videos might be heading to the trash bin .
To touch other aspects.. youtube is great to mostly embedd videos in profile page or websites. That way one can make people stay at your page for more time. Also youtube has some great collection of home videos especially funny stuffs. There is a way one can download youtube videos to your PC. Many of you might already know that. But most of them are copyrighted and stuff so u should know what to download and what not to.
Ok i think I can go and and on about youtube but let me spare the space or rather share the available space with someone else who would be equally as (if not more) enthusiastic as me to share their views. May be I should write a facts about youtube article at my page lol.

Correction: I mean three guys. Not two. I also wonder why Orble does not allow bloggers to embedd videos. Just curious.

Vimal,

Thanks for all your input, I did know about the big bucks and was vaguely aware of the other, I'm sure many at Orble will find it interesting, as do I.

It's important, I feel, that those who want to become familiar with it are given the opportunity to know and get to use it, if they wish, it's certainly a fantastic medium for music, let's hear it and see it and why not?

Great for education too.

With respect to your own work feel free to do whatever you want, you'll have at least one reader, that's me.

Throw your hat in the ring and take your chances, that's what I say.

I'd like to see you regularly, if, for no other reason, than to see you have a look at the brain puzzler, it takes a while, and the activity grows, good for the neurons you know.

Vimal,

Perhaps you should ask Jon that, I think it has to do with not being on the public record, therefore, one is not at liberty to thieve it.

Vimal,

I don't understand. Don't I have YouTube videos embedded on my blog?

Katyzzz,

As always, I love your art. You know what I think of YouTube, since we chatted earlier. For a site like mine, which is about a TV show, it really helps in showing previews and video podcasts that are on other sites. Those posts get a lot of hits.

Adele,

I'll leave Vimal to speak for himself but I guess he means videos that are not on the public record and not available through youTube, especially at no cost.

Thanks for your comments.

Hi Katyzzz,

...nothing helpful for Youtube... I'm slow to learn new technology... but I think this image of yours is crackin'... can I print a copy for my art wall...? It's very Esher-ish, I think.

Adele, I see that videos are embedded on your blog. I pasted the code to embedd it on my orble message composer and it just didn't show. So i was wondering whether Orble has not allowed that feature.

Katyzz, since you seem to have fallen for the youtube charm you must try start using it on your blogs. Apart from embedding a user uploaded video you can record some clips of your own and upload it to youtube(or similar sites that allows you to embedd)and then embedd it here. Say, for example, you can take us through a virtual tour of your gallery of ms pain art with your commentary in the background. Or may be educate us on how you do your paintings through a screen cast. Screen casting is, as you might know, recording your desktop computer movements such as walking through a piece of software, and publishing as a movie file via your weblog.

Thanks Vimal,

I'll think about what you have to say.

I have used the youTubes on a couple of my posts already.

The very pink one, a song and the latest a heart operation. Like chalk and cheese I know but it was a fun thing to do.

You might like to have a look at them and put on your comments, not just about the youTubes although all comments are helpful. The return ? I'll put some comments on your posts.

Most Orblers haven't caught on to that idea yet, despite encouragement.

Perhaps they should try my brain puzzlers, it might help.

Bryn,

Life wasn't meant to be easy. I just know I find it hard to find things.

I just wonder when I'll receive my first payment, and what is even more worrying how much that will be.

In the meantime, I play, giving votes freely to those who don't give any to me.

And. there's so MANY who do that, don't they know how to play by rules which will help them, too.

But, it's selective I'll be very soon, but one really does need to bring on board a few.

I'll be watching for your doomsday forecasts. I liked 1984. And animal farm.

Keep on blogging, I may not always approve but what you do, you do extremely well!

I'll keep on searching. Maybe I should give the twos and threes a miss.

Bryn,

I mean of the horror movies. I'm a simple little soul at heart.

You intrigue me more than the movies I think.

Your gaze is very direct. You'd have to be a Scorpio, wouldn't you? You seem to be a nice guy under all that horror. Don't tell me. 'Bless me girl I am horror'

I think blogs are all about fun amongst other things.

katyzzz,
yes, at the end of the day i'm providing a quite specialised blog (perhaps not quite as specilaised as your paint art blog though). there are numerious film blogs already on orble .... so i do feel a little like a raisin in a fruit salad ... albeit a slightly darker-hued raisin ...
yes, i'm a dark and mysterious guy with a passionate direct steely-blue-eyed gaze ... but a scorpio i am not (one of my brothers and my best friend are both scorpios) .... guess again.

Bryn,

Sagittarius, I'm trying to pick up on the direct gaze and the preoccupation with death, I don't really think you sound like a Leo.

Although the hair?

They say Leo men are very hard to understand and a few other things.

Do tell,
