On Pornography

You know I hate it. I wonder at the failure of some to overcome the adolescent stare that they must experience when first seeing something they feel they ought not to.
I'd be interested in comments from those who can contribute a well expressed opinion, without giving the specifics of their juvenile fantasies, free of expletives, and in a scholarly way.
Meanwhile I have found this site which seems to do much of the work for me.
"What little scientific research exists suggests that every individual's sexuality is very stable, whereas his or her morality is quite labile. It is much easier to affect what a person sincerely approves and disapproves of than it is to change what he or she finds sexually exciting. Studies on pedophiles and rapists (and also—in of course a much different moral context—homosexuals) bear this out, as well as the tendency of consumers of pornography to focus on particular fetishes or narrow genres."
Thus far this seems interesting.
"Intellectuals even today can rely on little else but Kinsey's decades old research."
This seems to be a bit of a worry.
"Another blatantly obvious factor in this context is that the social and economic dominance of men over women has definitely existed for millennia, and might stretch even farther, to the millions of years, even to our pre-human ancestors. This is a long enough time period that the idea of sexual inequality is almost definitely entrenched in our social structures, and may have even a genetic component."
It's warming up, so I think the best I can do at this stage is turn you over to the author, who bears a rather interesting name, not one of my choosing, but fairly self-explicit, so now it's time to provide the link.
The Link
I neither approve nor disapprove of his stance, although I think he does have some interesting things to say and those females who don't protest at such practices may well do with reviewing their position unless, of course, they are prepared to accept their inferior role.
No, we don't want to turn women into men, there are far too many of them already, but to have their rights equal to those of men, free from the degradation that is often thrust on them.
If you want to comment do watch your language or you may well find your opinion disappearing forever into cyberspace.

On this we must disagree, porn does nothing for the rights of and respect for women.
It is inexcusable, those who watch it cannot function in relationships.
Oh, the acceptance of the young, not just you.
At least you gave a comment on this very important topic.
