Research: Vitamin D intake could affect your brain

(NECN/CNN) - Vitamin D is essential for strong bones and teeth, and in some studies, has even been found to ward off cancer.

Now, new research shows low amounts of Vitamin D in the body could affect the brain. A new study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine finds a clear link between the lack of Vitamin D and the development of dementia.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that is found in foods such as oily fish. It can also be found in a dietary supplement.

From the sun and food is better, signals, but I understand there is not much sun in the winter where you live.

I'm wary of the ingestion of all substances which come in a bottle and that generally includes vitamins.

But I'm in the minority here, I know.

Watch out for symptoms you can't otherwise explain.
