Professor Ryuta Kawashima revealed in his new book, “Farewell Brain Games”, that Nintendo is currently developing a new entry into the Brain Age series after a brief hiatus after the second title. The reason for the hiatus was attributed to Nintendo wanting to wait until they could make something with a “special idea”.

Rumors are currently spinning around the title being a 3DS title which should take care of that “special idea” criteria. The title was slated for a 2010 launch, but with the end of the year upcoming and the 3DS launch moved until early next year we probably won’t see it until sometime next year.
