A photo Gallery in a troubled world - my pic is no. 5

And for a wonderful thing happening in the World

A lioness drinks from a rock-ringed borehole in Kalahari-Gemsbok National Park, a 3,700-square-mile (9,600-square-kilometer) slice of desert in South Africa's Northern Cape Province.

Lions had all but disappeared from South Africa by the turn of the 20th century due to unbridled hunting, but the seeds of a remarkable comeback were planted in the 1890s with the country's first game reserves.

THE BRAIN

I was trying to learn some new words in Polish connected with nature. Words I had never even herd before. My girlfriend told me about five Polish words in a childhood poem connected to nature. I had never herd the poem before nor the words. In a matter of a few minutes when I was walking with her I could recite this poem and know the meaning of the words.

And last night I used my left hand with my mouse, although I am right handed, it's all about learning new things and doing things differently.

And to-day I did some very early morning gardening with my pot plants, pruning and snipping them and this for me is fairly new as I have always had someone to do the gardening for me.

I could have done with one of those slide converters recently.

80 ancient ballroom dancing slides requiring scanning. My HP Scanjet will only do slides one-at-a-time and v-e-r-y, v-e-r-y, s-l-o-w-ly. Exciting stuff.

Cheers.

Really pleased I was able to be of assistance, Rosemary. Ballroom dancing sounds fantastic, that's where I met my husband. We both loved to dance.

and Louie, I loves ya, but you're turning into a little couch potato. As long as you keep active in between times and I'm pleased you've got wifi.

I love the signature tune Katyzzz, pink is my favourite colour.

I am so sorry I haven't been able to pop by lately and read your wonderful blog my friend but I can hopefully in a couple weeks time be back to a regular reader of yours.

The photo of the Russian soldiers is very moving and I love the National Geographic bit on the lioness. It's nice to read about something like that.

And I can see that nifty slide reader be popular.

Anyway I must be away now, I've got a uniform to iron before school this afternoon.

Take Care Katyzzz.

Sarah.

Lovely seeing you Sarah, I'll be looking forward to seeing you again and reading some of your work too.

I'm OK, just look after yourself and those two boys of yours, one big, one small.
