Studies in highlighted Pastels

November 7th 2006 03:35
For some the bright colours are too overpowering so today I'm presenting everything in pastel with a little highlighting.

Let me know what you think.

But the second is not the brain puzzler, the third one is.

It is all a little more difficult today, because of the colour changes.

What is the verdict?

Liked these a lot better than most of yours, for some reason. It might simply be that they're more unusual.

The first one reminded me of this.

Thought the second one graceful like a sea creature.

Adrian,

You don't miss much, do you?, I had a look at your reference, I see what you mean, but it made me laugh a little.

It's funny, I do appreciate the second one but the pale colours apart from the time spent mixing seem to me a great inhibitor, especially when there's a lot of them together, like these, when it's just a few and a little brighter I respond just to the beauty of the colour alone, there's a certain harmony in the pastels.

Once again, thanks for your views.

These are not my favourites, the mixing of the colours doesn't quite work. as a friend of mine said "reminds one of a watermark".

I am agreement with Adrian, on the second one as being my favourite.

katyzzz Nice of you to call in. c u again, soon

katyzz,

i like the 2nd one for the colours and the curvature.
I also see a heavy higher part looming over a lower light part; to me representing domination and submission.
