NOT forgetting MS Paint
September 1st 2007 23:22
I invariably use this signature tune, prepared using MS Paint, as representative of my use of that particular program.
My current works are all now prepared with Paint.NET for fairly obvious reasons.
But, if you are still playing around with MS Paint, that's fine, and you should have no hesitation in doing so. This is just a learning experience, it's not done for the purpose of turning you into a great artist.
Perhaps you'd like to play with it with the children or use it as a talking point with elderly citizens who need some encouragement to become computer literate or even just familiar with the Web.
Studies have shown that elderly people who have access to and can use computers experience less depression than those who do not.
In the US there are lots of programs offering assistance for the more senior citizens to create access to and acquire computer equipment and skills and generally, once involved, they love it.
So here are just a few examples for you, some more challenging than others.
At the end I'll include a small brain puzzler and you must look at it for some period of time and see just what features/images emerge and what sensations you experience. Don't justify what you think and feel. You don't have to.
And here is the brain puzzle for you
