Is there a modern day equivalent to the Beatles?
June 29th 2007 08:53
I was rather disappointed with the response in and out of Orble to my post about the Beatles which I found was a fantastic clip, and apparently some agreed with me.
But Paris was a top runner, as usual and I had plenty of readers on my stats.
There has been so much discussion and lots of videos of singers and groups lately and covering quite a long time span that I'm wondering if there is anyone who thinks there is a modern day equivalent to the Beatles.
A phenomenon in their day, in more ways than one, they are still a phenomenon nowadays and as they say their songs were all about love and love is a big theme on Orble.
I'm putting the link in to my previous post which you may or may not want to see before responding to the post, which really is just a simple question and I feel sure many of you do have views.
Here's the link - click here.
Are you able to answer this question?
It would be really good to have your views.

...wow, who knew? Actually I liked most of the Beatles stuff; it was their damn bubbly persona that galled me. Who could take that much cheerfulness in one lump without mind altering drugs?

I do not think any group has been that popular before or since. but that is just my opinion.
