The story of Beatrix Potter who was a literary phenomenon of the early 20th Century: At a time when most young women of her class were simply concerned with making a good marriage [have things changed?] she showed herself to be remarkably liberated and worked to free her vivid imagination to create her great masterpieces with such delightful figures of the animal world.
