Insulin May Treat Alzheimer’s

Insulin Alzheimer's
Signature Tune

In a new free report from NEWS.MAX.com from the USA it has been reported that insulin may shield those all important synapses that we need to maintain memory.

Research was undertaken by scientists who established that Alzheimer's may be a new form of Diabetes.

Remember the all important hippocampus that I told you about that is so essential for memory, these scientists took cells from there and treated them with insulin and another drug useful in the treatments of type 2 Diabetes finding that the insulin and the other drug were protective against the amyloid plaques which prevent the retention of memories.

The study found
Therapeutics designed to increase insulin sensitivity in the brain could provide new avenues for treating Alzheimer’s disease,” said senior author William L. Klein, a professor of neurobiology and physiology in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and a researcher in Northwestern’s Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease Center. “Sensitivity to insulin can decline with aging, which presents a novel risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. Our results demonstrate that bolstering insulin signaling can protect neurons from harm.”

As there is no known existing cure for this awful disease this is good news, as it may well lead to treatments for this debilitating and irreversible conditon.

Meanwhile keep working on those suggestions for diet, exercise, socialising and brain games of which I keep telling you.

Prevention is worth a ton of cure, and the treatment, when and if available becomes the last resort, so get yourself cracking and keep that weight down to keep your insulin levels well under control.

The beauty of all this information I give you is that it is free, and suggests training for your memory and there is always new digital software for your computer which gives you easy access at a relative cheap cost to brain training games and my own games won't cost you anything at all, they come from me completely FREE, that is at no cost, gratis.

Yes, Lester, and with an aging population it is becoming more prevalent.
