Memory Loves the Mediterranean Diet

February 17th 2009 00:31
memory diet
Signature Tune

Have you been forgetting things lately, you don't have to be old to do that, I know of plenty of people with dreadful memories so do take comfort in that.

Most people have heard of the Mediterranean diet and what it can do for your heart and health and I've said it before and now I'll say it again, that what is good for your heart is also good for your head (brain). Now, I'm sure you can remember that.

From: Chicago Health comes the following good news:

Meals heavy into fish and vegetables, and light on the meat and dairy, result in a 28% lower risk of searching for the car keys or forgetting the grocery list, according to a study in the Archives of Neurology.

And, that same mediterranean diet also lowered the risk of getting alzheimers disease by nearly 50%.

Currently the diet's recommended for lowering bad cholesterol levels to improve heart health, "...but it may also be helpful for their brain function as well," according to researcher Nikolaos Scarmeas at Columbis University Medical Center in New York.

So now you know and do watch that diet of yours, won't you?. That is if you value your head, and I certainly do.

Yes, you're very clever, but you know me, no nudes, and I'm just about to put on a post whcih you will hate me for.

Nothing like some bare - t..... to attract the masses around here, generally I love your work, you are a very smart cookie and that I like, no cookie blocking here, not when it comes to the smarts.

I hope you release some more of the creative u "busting" to get out.

Loves ya, Cheryl.

Thanks Katyzzz. Not everyone likes nudes in art, I totally understand that. That's what makes the world go around, everyone is different!

Cheryl, thanks for your very nice reply, I think if it had not featured first, thereby not showing up as the first one and not appearing as a pic on the most popular or any list, I could have been much more comfortable with it.

I did appreciate your artistic merit but declined to look at the others on principle because of what I have just explained, but I would have liked to have seen the others, and that one too if it had just been tucked away in the middle somewhere.

I'm sure I'll get other opportunities to visit, You do seem like a talented artist and I know the problem is there are lots of them.

That's fine Katyzzz, you should always stick to your principles. It was the only nude amongst the post, a couple were abstracts and a few portraits. I just love the human form
