Did you know that music moulds the brain to understand maths and logic?

And that Painting works both sides of the brain and increases hand-eye coordination?

The arts are under threat with funding and pennlive.com makes the above and following points.

We often ask: Isn't there an easier way to learn life's lessons? And the answer is yes: We can listen to the stories of others, which is what the theatre provides.

Students need creative outlets to be well-rounded and self-actualized citizens. Music structures the brain to understand math and logic. Painting works both sides of the brain and increases hand-eye coordination. The arts change lives and provide a safe haven for square pegs who are being forced into round holes.

We must keep the arts alive in Pennsylvania.
