Acuity
Clarity of vision measured as the minimum distance between two distinguishable points at a standard distance.

Adaptation
A decline in response of a sensory receptor to a constant steady stimulus.

Alzheimer's disease
A degenerative brain disease characterized by memory loss and disorientation; associated with plaques and tangles in the brain.
