Two lorikeets who come inside to eat, and a sulfur crested cockatoo which swings outside my window, squarks for food and I give him/her some seeded bread which he takes from my hand, waddles back along my window sill then flies back into the tree on his swing, turns around and I watch him as he eats and admire his spread out comb, and we are all learning each others languages.
In a life time I have had many pets, the last two, cats, which I took over as one was starving because its owner could not look after it, and when I found it, it was the size of a kitten, which I thought it was and it could not eat, all through the winter months I went outside and coaxed it to eat three times a day.
Eventually it moved in and loved me to death. It was always my intention to return it to its owner but she was too sick to care for it.
It died unexpectedly, I don't think anybody/anything has ever loved me more.
The second cat used to play Russian roulette in the traffic, it adopted me, its owners needed a home for it as they were returning to England.
But it used to search for them as I lived so close, eventually I arranged for it to join its sister with a friend of mine.
I see her when I visit and call their dogs my own.
One day I hope to be in a position to have animals again but not just yet.
So for now I love my little wildlife friends. People think I'm odd with birds as I call them in their own language, but I simply don't care.
I love all the animals on Orble and often think I'd like to live on a farm although the reality is quite different from the expectation.
That's probably the most you'll ever know about me.
That's sad that your cat passed away, but beautiful that you took it in and looked after it. It sounds he/she would've been happy and well-loved with you.
I don't think it's odd that you speak in animal talk to your bird visitors. I was saying to Tammy that I have a voice for Fergal, it just seemed to happen.
There are some great animals on Orble aren't there, and quite a variety as well. I love hearing animal tales from other animal lovers.
Thanks for sharing, katyzzz. I've been meaning to ask you for a while,

Louie, sounds very healthy, I love animals.
But these did look cute and they probably don't really care, but if they're cold I guess it's a good thing.

Well done, Tracy. The life side of the movies.

and Mis it is a giggle
I find it hard enough to get myself dressed everyday, let alone worry about an animal, a bit like playing dolls if you ask me.
