The ORBLE contest - most repulsive pictures on the most popular list.

repulsive popular posts
Signature Tune

I don't know whether there are others here who feel the same way as I do, I also am aware of the many fence sitters who would not dare express an unpopular view in case it takes away their "security blanket" - poor pathetic creatures.

I know there are a lot here who, in fact, prefer these repulsive images.

Because they offend me, and because they sit there for a considerable length of time, it is my intention to name them, periodically, in the hope that at least some of them will go away.

This is not a comment on the post or the writer, just on the pictures they choose, which seem to stay there for a significant length of time, which to me indicates more that, unlike the toted 'content' is king, smut is in, the smut that is conveyed in pictures and so many vote for those type of posts, ignoring many others, and the ignored do little to overcome this.

So, at this point of time, on this particular day I am naming those images on the 'most popular list' which I find repulsive.

I would really like for others to join with me in stamping these gross dependencies OUT.

The repulsive images are:

Given the chance guys, would you?

Have a heart - etc, although I liked this image initially - it now irritates me beyond all belief, so much so that it has become repulsive.

My exclusive interview with - spare us this one, please, the image does nothing but promote sleaze- it is repulsive.

At this time the rest are fine, some even good, what a pity they are spoiled by the repulsive ones.

I might do another post on the best image of the day on the most popular list, that could prove to be of value.

Your opinions are invited. Offensive comments/ pictures will be deleted.

I really don't see why you have a problem with people using images relevant to the posts. Not to speak for Chris or MNG, but their images fit their stories perfectly. A story about male pregnancy and a picture of a shirtless man with puffed up stomach - how could that be any better? A story about organ donation with a picture of a beating heart - again, how could that be any better?

As for my own image, It is an artistic photo done with class. You can see no more skin than someone who walked out of the house wearing a pair of shorts and a tank top.

I am sorry if you don't think much of me (yes, I saw your comment on the similar post on the same story. so, even though your current post says it is nothing against the stories or their authors, I realize in some cases it is.), and also sorry if you disagree with the story included in the post. (although it is strange how you didn't mind the story enough to comment on the other post.)

I respect the fact that you have an opinion, as I do for all people. I however do not respect you trying to impose that opinion on others by periodically doing this post criticizing the images that manage to make the popular list again and again.

Again, I can't speak for others - but we are sorry for using images that pertain to the post, rather than random colors.

I don't like the images, I elect often not to read the posts, and the fact that I am perpetually confronted with the images really offends me, I have no choice, I am confronted with them 'ad nauseam', I think you really missed the point but I'm used to that.

Whilst I am free to ignore the posts, I can't escape the images, and I do notice that certain titles offend me too, and they will be my next target.

I am entitled to my opinion, especially when my free choice is taken away.

I rarely becomes obsessive about whether I like someone or not, after all a blog is just a blog, I am not seeking friendship.

I am entitled to my opinion, especially when my free choice is take away.

So, your free choice is more important than ours? Trying to rid the page of images YOU disagree with essentially strips us of our free choice.

Again, I wholeheartedly agree that you are entitled to your opinion, as we all are, but again you're not entitled to impose it on everyone else.

I am NOT imposing my opinion on others.

Whereas, others, by my being forced to see those images every time I get into MY OWN Blog, impose theirs on me.

Enough said ----as nauseam

I agree with your post katyzzz, pictures are great if they are decent, and family friendly, but sleazy smut is an eye sore that does no one any good.

Katyzzz you have my respect and thanks for standing up and saying something about this, good for you.

Well Katyzzz, the way I see it Orble is a blogging network, a collective of writer's from around the globe encompassing all walks of life and socio economic groups. Everyone of these writers is an individual, and adding their own flavour to the 'network'. If you've such an issue with people's blog images (on the Orble network), then perhaps the idea of a 'blogging network' isn't really for you!

It's fairly simple to set up your own website, with hosting etc., there you could be queen of the ivory castle, and cast your moral disciplines on the cyber villagers.

I wonder how many Orble'ers get jack of the endless MS Paint images that flood the homepage on a daily basis- NOW THAT'S REPULSIVE!

Simple, they don't get on to the most popular list too often,Orblers are free to comment or blog about my images if they wish, the site is supposed to be family friendly and posts are expected to be marked that way, obviously this is not well supervised, I think you belong on a porn site myself, free to create whatever perversions you desire.

I do what I do with some purpose, and with high ideals, I would never accuse you of high ideals.

One can't escape the most popular site images and they occur with far more frequency than any of my art.

Sorry if you don't like my pictures, but I think they could hardly be described as offensive.

Unlike yours and your previous icons.

Enough said, don't be boring.

Fear not, my blogging is very close to its 'use by' date, and you'll then be free of my 'offensive, repulsive pictures'

Let's not take this community thing too far and if I needed your advice as to what I should do with a website etc, I'd ask for it.
