And here am I promoting Basketball would you believe?
Well, almost but not quite.
From Iowa comes this great idea for "spontaneous fun organized by a bunch of kids for their own amusement.
The worst thing that could happen to the SBBT is that adults might want to take it over and “coach,” or “organize” it. With uniforms and a rule book and parents complaining that their kid wasn’t getting enough playing time.

This is a fun activity organized by kids for kids, the prize is a piece of wood, there is no profit motive, kids buy T shirts at cost.
The aim for this modestly run low cost tournament is to break even.
Details of how the kids do it and play it and how the winner is decided is set out in the following link, which of course, deserves due credit.
I wonder what your kids could be encouraged to come up with by way of kid inspired and run activity.
This one is certainly fun and novel.
