More about the computer keyboard! and a freebie

The Alt key is used like the control key - holding it down while you press another key, e.g. Alt P key. It's meaning depends on which application is running. For Windows Word a small p will be replaced by a capital P, e.g. at the beginning of a new sentence.
The Alt keys lie on each side of the space bar as pictured.
The space bar is used to insert a space e.g. between two words so that they don't run together as one word. It is quite a thick bar and most users use their thumb, or whichever hand is convenient. It's length allows for this so the use of two separate keys is unnecessary.
