katyzz blogging career - another episode
August 17th 2008 23:51
Well you've heard about the change from MS Paint to PaintNET and my frustrations with "the brain" and computers and the elderly and of my efforts to try to engage younger members in improving their brains, which they apparently didn't think needed any improvement, of my posts on the human body, which they seemed to like.
It was not long before I was putting on posts about technology and computers and learning computer skills and keyboard tips. People seemed to like these.
They also liked my posts about blogging and search engines and a variety of things which they needed for their blogging career and come to think of it, I could well do with some extra tips now as to why my stats have plummeted and also my adcents, such as it was, whatever I do now does not seem to be so successful as it used to be.
Posts on art and the fine arts seemed to do well as did posts on other people's computer art and the exhibitions which were available.
But like everything else I did, everything seemed to have a use by date.
For two months my adcents went right up ( as adcents go) and at last I was covering my internet fees plus a little extra, probably barely enough to cover the electricity I was using, but it made me feel good for at least two months.
Now the adcents have slipped and slithered ever downwards, and to all intents and purposes it is just me, it seems I will never make 'top of the pops' but I didn't actually come her e to mix with bloggers although there have been some fun moments in between objectionable ones.
There is really so much more to tell but I'll leave it at that today and hope it will either encourage or dissuade others from having a go, depending what you expect to gain from it.
Just two years ago I'd barely heard of blogging, and I often think I wish I never had, but it's here to stay so I guess becoming just a little familiar with it all is not a bad thing. You do learn various things along the way, not least of which is about human nature.
But I have seen some essentially magnificent work come and go here, they were very commiteed, talented people but they chose to not stay, I can't say I blame them, they did not even seem to attract any appreciation for what they were doing. Sad days.
I think I have more than passed my use by date and yet I linger a little longer but with earnings of 8c a day it is a rather persuasive argument for going.
I'd really like to see other bloggers put on posts about their blogging journey but most stay strangely silent, I can't think why they are very vocal about the rights and wrongs of the rest of the world.
May I live to see yet another day.
Yet another post and collectively, yet another 8c.
