katyzzz blogging career - 2
September 30th 2008 00:37
Well, this time I am actually looking up some old posts, and it seems initially I was very much interested in encouraging people to try some computer art for themselves, it is an experiential process and no amount of 'teaching' can achieve as much for your brain as fumbling your way through it yourself.
It generally takes some time for you to become sufficiently adept to produce something that you, in fact, like.
I quickly decided that I would introduce my readers to a 'brain puzzler' in view of my obsession with encouraging readers to use their brain, rather than the alternative of lose it.
Some liked the brain puzzlers but as time went on readers became less and less interested, so off I went again, chasing that magic formula which would reap its benefits both for me and for my readers but quite frankly I don't think I had the attention of the sought after 'getting olders' which it was my intention to help.
But on I continued with my sortie into the unknown, always trying to come up with some new ideas but generally falling far short of my anticipated target.
I liked doing my little 'designs' so I was getting something out of it myself and very often my brain was sorely taxed trying to fiddle sufficiently with the limited programs I was using to produce more and more variety.
By this stage I had discovered youtube but I had my doubts that others were in any way as interested in them as I was.
But using these things and listening to what they had to offer and even discovering them was giving me a certain amount of pleasure and that has continued to the present day, I figure while I am putting on things which interest me, as well as my readers, I am gaining from the process despite the grossly insignificant rewards, commonly known as adcents, which is my own re-interpretation, but as I have not patented the idea I'm afraid I can expect no royalties.
Maybe I should look for a new career as a movie star, part-time, of course.
Even extras do better than on adcents.
It was not long before I started to include posts on conventional art and some of the great masters and I just could not resist putting in a little music.
As with many other things the initial interest was high and then all too suddenly it waned.
Was this to be the story of my life?
Ah, I thought to myself, bloggers would like to know something more about how their bodies worked so lungs, ears, hearing and seeing came into focus and off I launched with some more things of interest to my readers.
They liked it for a while, and I like it for all time, but generally it hit the dust with all my other rejects.
Undaunted I continued to pursue my readers with offering encouragements of various kinds and the usual run of little pictures, at least my own work was original, unlike the articles and pictures from the web that I am fond of 'pinching' and I think I have a few friends here doing just that, but confession generally remains with me ALONE and I am not even a Catholic.
By far the most interesting posts seemed to have been about blogging as I mentioned before and that still remains a central issue for bloggers, young and old and even me, but I feel that my blogging days are slowly coming to an end, but I think I'll always be around to keep an eye on things, but just as a leisure activity with limited time expended and I can even then read some of my own posts, trying to convince myself, if no-one else of their value.
Always promising to deliver less but finding myself inadvertently delivering more while my adcents have now been sliced by 2/3 I find I must keep firmly in mind just how long I am prepared and have the time to spend in this gererally time consuming activity.
So, good readers, until my next lttle post, due asap, as usual, if with a minimum expenditure of time I'll fly off with yeserday's birds into the great world of the unknown, commonly known as cyberspace.
Happy blogging everbody.
