A tree gleams yellow in the sunlight in the Seiwa-en Japanese garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
At 14 acres (5.6 hectares), it is the largest traditional Japanese garden in the United States.
Its creator, Koichi Kawana, describes it as a place of "pure, clear harmony and peace."
