Is Google running out of advertisers? I am
May 8th 2008 04:46
You'll see me looking down in the mouth there, I know google is reputed to have changed their system, but I think there is more to it than that.
I don't suppose anyone whose earnings have actually increased, or who is doing well, will tell us and I do remember something similar happening last year and it's not just about numbers as I personally know of at least one other who, despite good stats, earns nothing much at all.
But, as for me my adcents and dare I use the word "earnings" because it is not really that at all, call it a handout for want of a better term, and if I was hanging around just for the money I would have left a long time ago, but with so many bloggers now, are there just not enough ads to go around? and I do notice that some of those great pictures disappear with the blink of an eye sometimes never to return again.
But back to my situation, my adcents has fallen 30% and continued to stay there since the end of February, and I can see no indication that it will ever recover and the indicators are it is continuing to fall.
So is everyone happy to stay quiet on it or do some actually have the backbone to indicate whether they have noticed the same thing, the converse or no change. It would be really good to know. Apart from my time and the use of my posts those advertisers are getting the use of my computer and the internet connection. It would be nice if at this time I could see an improvement. That is the way things were going and I figured that with increasing stats they would gradually edge up.
I just think Google has found itself between a rock and a hard place, I do not blog for practice or any claim to fame and I am wondering where the future is heading.
Any thoughts anyone, those game enough, of course, and if all you are going to say is " I don't google for the money", well neither do I, but I do not like subsidising google's advertisers who get a lot of stuff running before our eyes for absolutely free. I think Google had some toughening up to do, and not with us.
So if you're just going to say 'I don't google for the money" forget commenting, I really don't want to know that.
I just want to know if people have experienced the same phenomenon as I have or if they have not.
Game enough, anyone?

I am not a charity and if I were I'd be a bit more discerning about distributing my funds.
But thanks for having the 'guts' to reply.
My blogging days are all but over, I feel, I think I can expend my energies better elsewhere, amongst people I actually like.
