Improve your memory

According to a study at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, you can improve your mental agility and sharpness with four easy steps.
Work your brain
Solve brain-teasers, crossword puzzles and play memory games to keep your brain agile and increase its cognitive reserve (your brain's ability to withstand neurological damage due to ageing).
Have a healthy diet
Have five meals a day including foods rich in Omega-3 fats, low glycaemic carbs and anti-oxidants. Researchers believe that eating five small meals throughout the day stops your blood glucose levels from dipping, and glucose is the primary energy source for the brain.
Exercise regularly
Regular workouts can slow down brain tissue loss with age and subsequently improve memory retention.
Reduce stress
Meditate, do stretching and relaxation exercises to manage stress. Stress causes the body to release cortisol, which has been found to shrink the memory centres in the brain, resulting in impaired memory
