Relaxation with Microsoft Paint

November 17th 2006 11:16
Computer Art family relaxation
Signature tune

To-day's post is rather simple.

I'll link up a couple of "How to" sites which are really not quite simple enough for the beginner and I am still looking for one that is. I did find one written by a schoolteacher which was nice and simple and quite adequate for a beginner, but, as I have said before, you'll make more progress initially and probably have a lot more fun by just trying and laughing at your first endeavours and as they improve you'll become quite attached to your own work.

Here's the sites, I know, they're not nice but I had to make some attempt.

The first two images are useful for learning to play and the third is the puzzler - keep looking

Hey Katy, I liked the second and third the most. The blue of the third was quite peaceful, and there was something intriguing for me in the apparently-random paint-splotch style of the second...

Good one Adrian,

Interesting comments as always,

Have you got your paint set out yet?

This post is moving very slowly, which is a bit sad, I thought more of you would want to know at least a little about using Paint, or other family members.

And there is the usual puzzler.

They are all different and all good for the brain.

Thanks KTZ

I took the short-course in MS Paint and will fiddle more later... it looks good and as a dabbling regular artist I am keen to try this form of mixing it up...wonder how my Egyptian artwork would look on MSPAINT *lol*

Lilla,

Anything goes and there's no need to rush, get the children on board when they're fractious and see what they come up with, but it's easy as she goes. It's not a contest, although anyone knowing me would deny that.

I'm all for making this a pleasant experience.

Hi Katyzzzz

I've been meaning to comment for a while on your stuff, it's great and quite mesmerising. I thought I had MS Paint on my computer but I don't seem to which is a pity. I've got Photoshop which is great, but I've just finished uni and feel like using something simple and fun-I need to give my brain a rest.

Have fun

Tracy

For a real treat on what can be done with Microsoft's paint program,
go to Really Long Link and watch the short video of
Mona Lisa being created. It is inspiring.........

Anon,

That was great, but 2 1/2 hours, no thanks,

I'm not into drawing or copying and I have no intention here of trying to summarise what I am trying to do here.

I'm just encouraging people to try and experiment, what have you done?

I have explained myself in the previous and subsequent posts.

I'm going to use that signature tune as a brain puzzler soon, it's amazing just how much is there.

But thanks for the visit and the info.

Enjoy yourself, whatever you do.
