Oct. 23 - Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan was in the hot seat Thursday as lawmakers pressed him on his role in global financial crisis.


Greenspan - long hailed as one of the most successful central bankers in US history, told Congress that was as shocked as anyone at the breakdown in U.S. credit markets and the failure of major institutions to avoid disaster. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.
