NOVA School: The private middle school for the academically gifted is offering two Summer Discoveries Camps this year for students in the fourth and fifth grades. The week-long camps are designed for the motivated academically talented students entering fourth or fifth grade in the fall 2007.
There are other camps available and over all Subjects include Art History, Mathematics, Shakespeare, Poetry, Chemistry, Drawing, Spanish, Exercise, and Science.
Mad Science: Students can explore chemistry, engineering, nature and more through being part of a rocket launch, building a robot, or creating a movie.
For the gifted, Girls Without Limits!: “The Extraordinary Human Body.” There will be lots of mental and physical activities each day, with fun field trips such as swimming, rock climbing, and martial arts.
Apparently in the US there is a very wide range of all of these types of activities and reading the lists alone is a learning experience.
Business and Nature are catered for and such activities as orienteering and an extensive range which seems quite remarkable.
Leadership and Art, Theatre and Music as well as Sports are all included.
It seems the needs of every youngster will be accommodated.
