Mum, Dad and genetic variation in children

June 24th 2008 09:46
parents and children shuffled genes
Signature Tune

You can see mum there, she's smiling and dad takes a more serious view but between them they have produced a number of offspring who share their genes but who don't each have the same set of shared genes, although they do have some of them.

It all makes for variety in the gene pool and the benefits of a mixed group amongst the siblings.

All spawned with the benefit of a computer. Do any of them look like any of yours?
