Fresh vegetables play an antioxidant role and their consumption enhances memory, a dietitian says.

“Fresh vegetables and fruits are full of antioxidants, which play an important role in IQ enhancement. They also neutralize free radicals and increase blood supply of brain,” Seyed Zyaeddin Mazhari told the Fars News Agency.

The dietitian also said fresh vegetables and fruits can maintain elastic condition of blood vessels by neutralizing free radicals preventing weakness of thinking abilities and memory.

Mazhari said fatty fishes, almond, walnut, peanut, sesame, and flax seed are full of omega 3 fatty acids which can enhance one’s memory and IQ.

“Lecithin is another substance that improves IQ and memory. It is found in lentils, corn, milk, egg yolk, sunflower seed and peanut,” he added.

Mazhari said lecithin plays an important role in neurotransmitters which make acetylcholine and cause memory and IQ enhancement.
