I remember you - the importance of remembering.
June 12th 2007 01:39
This song by Frank Ifield never fails to please although to many of you it must seem as old as Methuselah.
Here are the lyrics as engaging today as they ever were.
I REMEMBER YOU
I remember you
You're the one who made my dreams come true
A few kisses ago
I remember you
You're the one who said I love you too
Yes I do, didn'tcha know
I remember, too a distant bell and stars that fell
Like the rain out of the blue
When my life is through
And the angels ask me to recall
The thrill of them all
Then I will tell them I remember you
I remember too, a distant bell and stars that fell
Just like the rain out of the blue
When my life is through
And the angels ask me to recall
The thrill of them all
Then I will tell them I remember, tell them I remember
Tell them I remember you
Frank has a very special voice, full of music and engagingly rhythmical. Try to get hold of the recording to fully appreciate this.
Did you like the lyrics and do any of you remember?

Writer's Notes
Signature Tune is absolutely lovely! (Your art always is!)
And, as for the signature tune sung by Frank Sinatra, you bet I remember it--and it is one of the most beautiful and touching songs ever written! Thanks for reminding me of those fantastic lyrics! The song brings back memories...(sigh)...
