Folate is the way to go. Twice as much for the elderly [whoever they are]. Older people do object to being called elderly until they are really close to the end, providing they have sufficient faculties to realize it.

Interesting, I'm no vitamin expert but I thought folate was mainly for women trying to conceive. Always good to learn....

The increased folate for the elderly is quite recent research, Tracy.

Yes, in prevention of spina bifida, folate is considered a big factor, that's been known for a longer time.
